To 'subscribe to' a secure feed in IE 7.0, follow the following steps.
Reading the Secure Feed

- In some circumstances, your browser will warn you that there is a problem with the certificate and present you with a few options. Select the option which reads 'Continue to this website (not recommended)':

This message appears because your collaboration hub runs on a server with a security certificate from an authority your browser doesn't recognize. Some collaboration hubs are configured this way.
- From the popup dialog box, login using the same credentials you use to login to the collaboration hub (email address and password):

- At this point, you should see the feed in the browser and can read content pulled from the Hub. If this is not the case, please contact your system administrator know. In the event you wish to repeatedly read this feed, you will still need to subscribe as described next.
Subscribing to the Feed
- By default, there is a button on the far left of the toolbar marked 'subscribe to feed.' Click on it. A dropdown menu will appear - select the 'subscribe to this feed' option. If the option is not available, it may be because you have already subscribed.
- From now on, your feed will be available in IE's 'Favorites center,' which you can get to by using the 'Favorites center' button on the left side of the toolbar, or by using the Alt-C hotkey.
- Note that IE 7.0 will not be able to automatically update the feed, as some third-party readers do. You will have to manually refresh the screen to see the latest content updates. You will not be asked again for your credentials, unless you 'delete cookies' from your browser's options menu. In that case, you'll have to resupply the email address and password that you use to access the collaboration hub.
