I'm noticing that when I click on the title of an article it becomes underlined leading me to believe that I can click on it like hypertext and get to the rest of the article. However, when I click on the title (i.e. Email archiving for Lotus Notes and Domino, Microsoft Exchange ...) it takes me nowhere. Is that an error? If not, is it possible to change this so that when you click on the title you get to the rest of the article?

Clicking on the title always takes you to the "show" page for that conversation. When you observe "not going anywhere", it is because you're already on the show page.

Although the case you mention can be a tad tricky, this is by design for consistency sake, since conversation titles show up in many more places than the show page.

To see what I mean, click on the title "Email archiving for Lotus Notes..." in each of these locations:

List example

I see that I go to the show page but that doesn't make sense to me. When I click on the title I'm expecting to get to a page that shows me the entire article, not a repeat of the same information on different page. Why can't clicking on the title take you to the actual site of the article? If it can't do that, the title shouldn't be hypertext so you would by default click on the source.

This should be changed to one of two things:

Clicking on the title takes you to the same page as clicking on the source.

You can only click on the source and the title page is not hypertext.

We'll look into simplifying the source vs title link. Also, as an fyi, there's a few assumptions we follow with respect to how these are linked:

M1 benefits most when users stay In the Archive, rather than clicking off to other content sources.
most external conversations when added to your hub will have more than a snippet of content. The samples currently In the Archive were randomly chosen and not generally representative of what should be there upon launch.

These conversations are more typical: here, here You'll notice they contain the relevant content from the original source, therefore, no reason to click on the source link.

not all conversations are external (and consequently have no source link). Optimistically, we'll want the bulk of conversation to originate In the Archive.

As I said, we'll look into other UI options for those links. Keep the feedback coming.
