Concept
Webhits represent web pages and other content located outside your Kalivo Hub that may be of interest to you or other Hub participants. Kalivo designates each webhit with a status to assist in their organization.
This post discusses webhit statuses and their meaning. For more information on webhit management read this conversation.
Discussion
The possible webhits statuses are:
New. All webhits found by a Listener are marked "New" initially.
Unread. All webhits found by a Feed are marked "Unread" initially. In addition, you can explicitly set webhits "Unread" using the action menu.
Followup. Just as you might in your e-mail inbox, you may set webhits for "Followup". Use this status for short-term need, e.g. when you encounter a webhit you'd like to set aside for future consideration or postpone the processing decision.
Stale. "Stale" webhits have been waiting for processing without results. Kalivo marks webhits stale after they've remained "New" or "Unread" for a specific number of days. You choose this duration on the
Listener Home page for feeds or on the Advanced Settings page when creating a Listener.
Hub. After you select a webhit for inclusion in your Hub, the webhit is marked "Hub".
Archive. Marking webhits "Archive" keeps them around for long term or future processing.
Because Kalivo never duplicates an existing webhit, marking a webhit "Archive" prevents any Listener or Feed from recreating the webhit at a future time; however, do not archive webhits to prevent their recreation; use one of the "Ignore Webhits" choices from the Action list.
Filtering Webhits
The possible webhit statuses are shown in a screenshot from the status Filters controls:

When viewing the webhit list, you can narrow the list by applying a status filter:
First, check the boxes of the statuses you want to view.
By default, the "New", "Unread", and "Followup" boxes will begin checked.
Use the Check All and Uncheck All links to quickly check or clear all the statuses respectively.
Next, select "Show Webhits (with filters)" from the Action list then click Go button. Kalivo will then display webhits matching only the statuses and sources chosen.
